LEGO® Soccer 2000, also known as LEGO® Football 2000, started development in 1998 at Data Design Interactive when LEGO® Media became interested in getting into the football/soccer game market. Substantial work was done on the game, including playable builds and character customization.
Ulitmately the game was cancelled in late 1999, leading to Silicon Dreams Studio starting work on Soccer Mania in the following year.
